They say time flies when you are having fun, well I must have had lots of fun since I haven’t been on this site since before Christmas. So, what’s been happening in the world of books and specifically in my book world?
I’ve been busy writing a one off, stand alone novel, OUR NIPPER, a family story of a young boy’s search for his siblings during the early years of WW1 when, due to the death of their parents, the children were taken to the workhouse, all except twelve-year-old Archie who evaded the authorities and took off. The story follows his desperate search to find his siblings and the adventures he had in the process.
With the devastation of war and outbreak of Spanish flu, did they survive?
Follow Archie Connor as he has his hopes dashed at every turn. Will he succeed in his promise to his dying mother to keep the family together and look after OUR NIPPER, the new born, as yet unnamed baby?
