I was listening on the car radio to Mama’s and Papa’s singing Dedicated to the one I love and I thought about dedications that authors make in their books. It got me wondering why we authors dedicate our books when it’s not mandatory.
Looking through my own eight, yes eight books (how did that happen?!), I saw it as a way of saying ‘thank you’ to individuals or groups of people who mean something to me.
