Welcome to my blog. A place for me to share my thoughts, ramblings and pearls of wisdom.
Thrilled to have my first 5* review for Scamper's Find. Read it on Amazon.co.uk. Reviews welcome!
Okay, I know it's February and Christmas has long gone, as have the turkey sandwiches and chocolates, but, oh the excitement and nail-biting anticipation, waiting like a child on Christmans Eve for Father Christmas to come and leave packages to open.
It's building up to the big day, no, not another Christmas, but waiting for boxes of SCAMPER'S FIND, to land on my doorstep. When I hold the first copy in my hand, I'll know it's not all been a dream and I really did write another book.
Can't wait to see it in print!
Today I attended a birthday party for three ladies who had reached the age of 90. It got me thinking about the various challenges I set myself for some of the decades I reached. As I blew out the candles on my 30th birthday cake, and that wasn't yesterday, I pondered on what challenge to set for my 40th.
Decision made. I aim to learn a language. My attempt at school French was met with a sigh when my teacher handed me my exam paper. I chose to learn German. Not only did I get a good pass mark and HNC qualification, but I got myself a husband. The cheery guy sitting beside me stole, not only bits of my chocolate bar, but my heart!
I opened a tin of paint that clearly said 'snowfall' on the tin. Good, I thought, what could be nicer? Snow. White. Clean. Let's start!
Well, whoever named it snowfall must be colour blind. It was more like left over slush. On this occasion it didn't do what it said on the tin.
Any one else out there have colour paint problems?
